Tax Assistant Intern

Work Pattern: 4 days in the Madrid office, 1 day from home

The Tax Assistant Intern will work within the Finance and Tax team in Finance, supporting the Head of Tax to establish a strong control framework for Ebury.
The Finance and Tax team is responsible for maintaining proper accounting records both locally and at a Group level, including financial and management reporting and regulatory reporting for tax purposes. The role will incorporate establishing and enhancing control measures and identifying opportunities for Ebury to be more efficient and effective.
The Tax Assistant Intern will help focus on building a strong relationship between the Accounts Payable Team and other areas of the Ebury business, ensuring all internal reporting requirements are fulfilled, coordination of the preparation and submission of VAT, and other various statutory and regulatory reporting requirements across Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Responsibilities:

● Coordination with the legal team.
● Assistance in the preparation of transfer pricing documentation and filings across
multiple jurisdictions.
● Assistance in the preparation of monthly transfer pricing calculations.
● Assistance in the preparation of intercompany agreements
● Assistance in the preparation of withholding tax declarations.
● Providing support for the analysis of the tax implications of new jurisdictions.
● Collaborate in the audit process. 

Requirements:

● At least 1 year of experience in a tax environment, preferably with exposure to transfer pricing
● University degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or similar.
● Advanced user of Microsoft Excel and ERP (NetSuite/Oracle, SAP and NAV).
● English (C1), Spanish (C1), other languages are a plus.

Desired skills:

● Exposure to transfer pricing, corporation tax, VAT accounting and reporting.
● Detail-oriented, professional attitude and highly reliable.
● Strong skills in problem-solving, basic accounting principles, teamwork, documentation, data analysis and multi-tasking.
● Experience working with Netsuite (ERP), and Invoicing systems
● Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
