FP&A Analyst
Location: Ebury Madrid office (4 days in the office and 1 day of home office per week)
The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) Analyst plays a critical role in providing financial insights and analysis to support the strategic decision-making process across the organization. This individual will be responsible for conducting financial reviews, preparing budget forecasts, and analyzing financial data to identify trends and opportunities for
performance improvement. The Analyst will work closely with various departments to understand their financial needs and provide guidance on actuals, budget management and cost reduction strategies.
Responsibilities
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on financial performance, including variance analysis and commentary for senior management.
- Develop and monitor department-specific budgets and provide insightful reports to department leaders.
- Enhance financial reporting frameworks to improve the quality and timeliness of financial data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline reporting and budgeting processes.
- Ensure financial models and reports are accurate and reflect current business processes and assumptions.
- Utilize business intelligence tools to provide actionable insights into business performance.
Financial Forecasting and Modeling:
- Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators, including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital expenditures.
- Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance
Budgeting and Planning:
- Assist in the budgeting and planning process by providing templates, guidelines, and consolidation of all submissions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Engineering; MBA or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in Big4, financial planning and analysis or related fields.
- Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large amounts of data without compromising accuracy.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner to non-financial stakeholders.
