Regulatory Compliance and Controls Analyst

Location: Ebury London Victoria Office - 4 days a week office-based working (1 day from home office)

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Regulatory Compliance Analyst to join our growing team in Europe. This role is crucial in ensuring our continued adherence to evolving regulatory landscapes and maintaining the highest standards of compliance. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Compliance Director and work closely with all group Compliance Officers and MLROs. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control Process Management: Oversee and manage key control processes, including, among others: handling and tracking escalations related to gifts and entertainment declarations, conflicts of interest, breaches, incidents, cross-border requests, complaints, conduct investigations, and whistleblowing.
  • Horizon Scanning: Proactively monitor and analyze regulatory developments and trends (horizon scanning) to identify potential impacts on the business and recommend appropriate actions.
  • Administrative Support: Manage administrative processes, including the accurate recording of regulatory communications and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Policy Management: Review, update, and maintain compliance policies and procedures to reflect current regulatory requirements and best practices. Implement recommendations from regulators and internal audits into these policies.
  • Regulatory Research: Conduct in-depth research on regulatory matters, including monitoring and analyzing new and upcoming regulations across the UK.
  • Management Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate and timely regulatory reports, including management information and data for relevant committees.
  • Training & Development: Utilize our AI-powered training platform to develop and deliver engaging training materials based on new and updated policies and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with various internal stakeholders, including legal, operations, and business units, to ensure effective compliance implementation.

Key Skills and Attributes:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Law;
  • Experience in regulatory compliance, preferably within the financial services or payments industry;
  • Strong understanding of the FCA Handbook, Electronic Money Regulations and other financial regulations relevant to Electronic Money Institutions;
  • Research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulations effectively.
  • Proper written and verbal communication skills in English. Other languages spoken are a plus.
  • Proficiency in using compliance software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
