Mechanisation IT Engineer (f/m/d)

Lille - Jardin des Plantes, Nord, France

BU: Fulfilment, Logistics, Transport & Customs Team: INFRALOG

THE FULFILMENT, LOGISTICS, TRANSPORT & CUSTOMS BUSINESS UNIT

Our Business Unit's mission is to guarantee the fluidity and reliability of logistics flows, transport, and customs operations, serving the customer experience and sustainable performance. By joining this BU, you will enter a constantly evolving international environment where technical excellence meets team spirit and a culture of simplicity.

JOIN THE INFRALOG TEAM

The INFRALOG team designs, deploys, and maintains the infrastructures and networks at the heart of our logistics operations. Our role is to ensure the robustness, security, and scalability of the systems that allow Decathlon to deliver to its customers worldwide. We work hand in hand with business teams and our suppliers to guarantee availability, performance, and innovation. We work every day to design and improve innovative solutions for logistics and network infrastructures, in collaboration with our internal and external partners.

The team is composed of three complementary units:

  • Network / Infra: Ensures the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructures (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, cybersecurity) and its core infrastructure (WORKSTATION, CLOUD, MONITORING). Its role is to guarantee the performance and security of data flows to and from our warehouses.
  • Devices & RFID: Handles connected equipment and RFID technologies used in our warehouses and stores. This unit ensures the efficiency of traceability and automation processes.
  • Partners: Manages the relationship and performance of our mechanized and robotic logistics systems, ensuring operational implementation, support, and obsolescence management. This unit is the link between innovation, operations, and external collaboration.

JOB TITLE

Permanent Contract (CDI) – Mechanisation IT Engineer 📍 Based in Lille (Jardin des Plantes)

YOUR MISSIONS

Within the Partners unit of the INFRALOG team, you will contribute to:

DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE (Build)

  • Managing Mechanization Partners: You are the main technical point of contact for our partners (Exotec, TGW, Dematic, Falcon) to guarantee the operational maintenance (MCO) of their solutions.
  • Challenging and designing architectures: You define and validate interconnection solutions (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, MPLS) between the Decathlon network and the mechanized partner ecosystems. You ensure their design integrates perfectly with our standards (Cisco, Meraki).
  • Technical audit: You qualify the architectures proposed by new robotics partners before their global deployment.
  • Piloting technical projects: You orchestrate the Infra/Network side during site openings, extensions, or retrofits. You are the technical guarantor of successful deployments (e.g., migration to WAN3, integration of new robots).
  • Innovating: You keep a watchful eye on new technologies to propose evolutions (e.g., IoT, Edge Computing) that will bring value to our warehouses.

MAINTENANCE & RESILIENCE (Run & Sustain)

  • Guaranteeing high availability: Your goal is clear: 0 critical incidents. You ensure that partner solutions are robust and perform well on a daily basis.
  • Managing Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP): You organize and supervise resilience tests (network failover, crash tests) with partners to guarantee that logistics never stop.
  • Mastering obsolescence: You manage the hardware and software life cycle (Life Cycle Management) to avoid technical debt and preventable breakdowns.
  • Crisis management: In the event of a major incident, you keep a cool head. You lead the crisis unit with partners and relevant internal teams to restore service as quickly as possible and limit the impact on our warehouses.

SECURITY & COMPLIANCE (Protect)

  • Securing flows and access (Security by Design): You ensure the compliance of partner solutions (network segmentation, SSO deployment, identity management on WCS interfaces) to protect our flows against cyber threats.
  • Auditing and fixing: You regularly check the security level of partner installations and drive remediation plans if vulnerabilities are detected.

PROXIMITY (Field Connection)

  • Embodying the "Field" culture: Because reality happens in the warehouse, regular travel is to be expected (in France and internationally) to meet local teams, supervise deployments, and maintain a strong link with our warehouse colleagues.

YOUR TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT

You will evolve in a rich and varied environment, including:

  • Network & Infrastructures: LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, security, network monitoring.
  • Supplier management: Contract tracking, leading technical committees, coordination with external partners.
  • Support & operations: Ticketing and monitoring tools, incident management, problem-solving.
  • Documentation & sharing: Internal wiki, best practices, technical procedures.
  • Methodologies: Agile project management, crisis management, business continuity planning (DRP).

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • A solid first experience in network and infrastructure (knowledge of industrial/logistics environments is a plus).
  • A genuine passion for Security (IT & OT). You instinctively think about "data protection" and "access security" in every project.
  • Good mastery of technical and professional English (B2 minimum) to communicate daily with our international partners.
  • Fluent communication, autonomy, rigorousness, and the ability to keep your cool (crisis management).
  • A strong appetite for collaborative work, mutual aid, and a desire for continuous learning.
