We seek an individual motivated by the growth of the Digital Consumer Intelligence landscape and confident in their ability to communicate the value of marketing technology, analytics, and strategic services to build higher revenue streams with corporate and agency customers. This person will understand how to execute customer renewal and growth programs in conjunction with Customer Success Managers to continuously add value to our customers while strengthening their commitment to Cision.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with, selling to, and managing corporate and agency expectations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop trusted advisor relationships with customer executive sponsors, aligning activities with the customer's business case and strategy to maximize the Cision solution.
- Achieve and exceed revenue targets in assigned customer accounts and meet business objectives defined by company management.
- Manage account renewals in assigned customer accounts, conduct quarterly business reviews, and lead retention and upsell initiatives.
- Develop a deep understanding of customer business challenges/objectives to clearly map Cision product features to value.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Commercial teams to design and launch growth programs highlighting platform enhancements.
- Serve as a coach and trusted advisor to Cision customers.
Minimum Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years relevant experience in Sales and/or Account Management.
- Understanding of business acumen and cultural considerations when working with customers in the DACH market.
- Proven ability to develop executive relationships across organizations (executive sponsors, decision makers, procurement, etc.).
- Proven track record of developing and executing strategic account plans, customer renewal contracts, and creative solutions.
- Genuine curiosity about how social data can solve business problems.
- Excellent customer-facing presentation, written, and oral communication skills in German and English.
- Advanced understanding of PR and media monitoring tools.
- Strong multitasking and troubleshooting skills under pressure.
- Strategic, intelligent, and insightful approach.
- BA/BS degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of marketing technology, including marketing automation, data integration, attribution, and consumer/market insight.
- Experience working with (or for) a monitoring provider.
- Demonstrable knowledge of marketing principles and best practices.
