About the team

As part of the Accounting, Reporting & Control team, you will support the delivery of financial accounting and reporting activities for the Castrol UK business, as well as support for global technology, marketing and supply chain function areas. You will work closely with colleagues across finance and the wider business to ensure timely, accurate and compliant financial reporting while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This is a mid-level role that would suit someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys analysing financial information, solving problems and working within a collaborative international environment.

Key Tasks

• Financial accounting & reporting
• Support monthly, quarterly and annual financial close activities.
• Prepare and review financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and group reporting requirements.
• Ensure accurate accounting entries and compliance with internal policies.
• Support balance sheet assurance processes and reconciliations.
• Maintain accuracy of intercompany accounting and reporting activities.
• Support other group reporting requirements and requests.
• Controls, compliance & risk management
• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
• Process improvement & analysis
• Analyse financial data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support automation and digitalisation initiatives across accounting processes.
• Partner with finance and business stakeholders across the UK and global functions.

Experience Required

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline - or equivalent relevant professional experience (At least 2 years of relevant accounting or finance experience)
• Practical exposure to IFRS accounting
• Understanding of financial reporting processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
• Excellent written and spoken English
