Job description

Let me tell you about the role

As the Licensing Lead, you will play a vital role in supporting Castrol’s global licensing programme and implementing licensing agreements that align with the Castrol Masterbrand strategy and guidelines. You will work with our licensing agency and local market teams to assist with partner onboarding and contract management of licensees in market. You will also be responsible for coordinating key licensing management processes and tracking partner performance, ensuring that licensing partnerships deliver commercial value while maintaining brand integrity.

What you will deliver

  • Support licensing agreements by assisting with onboarding new partners, preparing key documentation, and ensuring compliance with agreed terms and timelines. 
  • Assist in contract management, ensuring all agreements are correctly documented, updated, and stored in line with legal and business requirements. 
  • Own the licensing brand manual and manage brand approvals for the global licensing programme, ensuring partners adhere to brand guidelines, trademarks, visual identity, and agreed strategic objectives – including packaging, POS materials, trade show presence, PR.  
  • Monitor partner performance, collecting data, tracking KPIs, and identifying any gaps in execution or opportunities for improvement. 
  • Contribute to reporting processes, gathering insights and data for performance reviews, audits, and internal updates. 
  • Develop tools and resources to support licensing partners, helping them understand and comply with Masterbrand requirements. 
  • Work closely with Castrol’s global licensing agency to support pipeline development and licensee management, providing timely feedback, advice or information.  
  • Liaise with local market teams and licensees to ensure agreement on licensee marketing plans, support communications, seek feedback for brand approvals and create value from synergies with the core business.  
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide day-to-day operational support for licensing activities, ensuring seamless execution. 
  • Work closely with Legal and Trademarks to protect Castrol brand assets during any contract. 
  • Responsible for meeting or exceeding defined KPIs of optimising MROI, growing sales volume and profitability and driving consistent brand health efficiencies. 
  • N.B. It's possible this activity set is expanded or changed in time, as part of an agile approach across the Castrol Marketing Network of Excellence (NoE). 

What you will need to be successful  

  • 3-5 years’ experience in licensing, partner management, or project support, preferably within a multi-national matrix organisation. 
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills, with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Familiarity with contract management processes and the ability to support compliance with legal and business standards. 
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both internal teams and external partners. 
  • Proficiency in tracking and reporting performance metrics, ensuring accuracy and actionable insights. 
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively while working to deadlines. 
  • A collaborative mindset, eager to contribute and support team goals.
