We are Brainlabs, the High-Performance media agency, on a mission to become the world's biggest and best independent media agency. We plan and buy media that delivers profitable and sustained business impact. And what’s our formula? Superteams of Brainlabbers, fueled by data and enabled by technology.
Brainlabs has always been a culture-first company. In fact, from the very beginnings of the agency a set of shared principles, philosophies and values was documented in The Brainlabs Handbook, helping us create our unique culture.
As with everything here we always seek to adapt and improve so The Brainlabs Handbook has been fine-tuned to become The Brainlabs Culture Code.
This Culture Code consists of 12 codes that talk to what it means to be a Brainlabber. It’s a joint commitment to continuous development and creating a company that we can all be proud of, where Brainlabbers can turn up to do great work, make great friends and win together.

What's the role
We are looking for someone to join our team for 12 months to cover maternity leave. This is a role that is critical to ensuring smooth people operations and will work closely with our People Partnering team to deliver people processes for each stage of the employee lifecycle.
What you do
- Oversee the full administration spectrum of employee onboarding, employee offboarding and employee lifecycle management. This includes tasks such as checking contacts, verifying employees right to work, preparing contractual change letters, relaying information to payroll and updating our HRIS
- Support the monthly payroll process alongside our Payroll Manager. This requires a variety of tasks, such as inputting and checking data, working through calculations for things like sickness, ensuring benefits enrollments and parental leave is recorded, and making sure the finance team have a clear and accurate data set to work from
- Have ownership of the benefits offering. You will accurately process requests, answer any questions Brainlabbers may have and carry out the day to day operational processes, share any key feedback
- Be the link that ensures our wider People Team has all the correct information needed to carry out their roles, and that any operational requests they make are processed efficiently
- Keeping on top of employee comms on the Company intranet, where all of our key employee facing information is hosted
- Make sure that any ad hoc requests, such as reference checks, data requests, or policy questions are all answered in a timely and accurate manor
Who you are
- You have a solid understanding of generalist Human Resources and best practices. For example the key touch points of the Employee Lifecycle, Compliance, UK Employment Law, Policy Implementation and a familiarity with HR Information Systems
- Someone with a keen eye for detail, and thrives off knowing the work they are doing inside out. They know how to approach any discrepancies and are motivated by producing accurate and concise pieces of work
- Self driven and able to work just as well independently as well as alongside a team. They are also comfortable working with employees at a variety of different levels and from different departments
- You find satisfaction in comprehensively knowing how things work from start to finish and are able to recognise how the role they are playing fits into a wider process
- Happy to get stuck into a variety of different tasks. Often no two weeks are the same in this role, and it’s important that you are as happy to crack on with some of the day to day administrative tasks as you are to take on bigger projects.
How you succeed
- You will live our culture code every day!
- Quickly establish strong relationships with the wider people team and key stakeholders
- 100% compliance with Brainlabs people operations best practice
- Be Proactive - a process is not the best it could be? Change it!
