What is this role about?

As a Country Manager for Spain at Bondora, you will oversee the smooth execution of regular country operations, focusing on expanding business volumes and enhancing our value proposition while ensuring the profitability of the Spanish market.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Achieving expected performing portfolio and gross profit targets for the country.
  • Organizing the daily cooperation between Marketing-Credit Risk-Debt Collection teams to ensure full focus is on improving the country’s performance.
  • Improving country-specific product offerings.
  • Coordinating deal and contract negotiations on Bondora’s behalf with all third parties offering services for the Spanish market.
  • Compiling long-term plans and financials for the Spanish market.
  • Being the main spokes-person to represent Bondora in Spain.

What would ensure success in this role?

  • At least three years of demonstrated experience leading a credit product line within the consumer credit field in Spain.
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative, high-performance organizational culture. 
  • Proficiency in tracking Profit and Loss (PnL) statements and compiling accurate financial forecasts and plans.
  • Feeling confident working in a fast-paced, quantitative, and goal-oriented environment. 
  • Fluency in English. Proficiency in Spanish for market insights would be beneficial.
