What is this role about?
The Direct Marketing Specialist in Bondora’s Engagement & Retention team is responsible for managing our marketing automation tools and executing multi-channel customer outreach campaigns. This role focuses on driving customer engagement, retention, and reactivation through personalized communications across email, SMS, push notifications, WhatsApp, and other direct channels. Reporting to the Head of Engagement & Retention, you will play a key role in shaping customer journeys, optimizing campaign performance, and ensuring Bondora’s communication strategy aligns with its business goals.
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Manage and execute customer communication campaigns across all direct channels
(email, SMS, push, WhatsApp, etc.). - Segment audiences to deliver personalized and relevant messages that align with
customer lifecycle stages. - Operate and maintain Bondora’s marketing automation tools, ensuring campaigns are
deployed accurately and efficiently. - Build and optimize automated customer journeys to improve engagement and
conversion rates. - Monitor campaign performance metrics (e.g., open rates, click-through rates, and
conversion rates) and provide actionable insights for improvement. - Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, and formats to rene messaging
strategies. - Work closely with the Brand & Content team to ensure all communications are
on-brand and resonate with Bondora’s audience. - Coordinate with the Engagement & Retention team to align messaging with broader
lifecycle strategies. - Ensure all campaigns comply with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR) and industry
best practices. - Stay updated on trends in direct marketing and marketing automation to implement
innovative strategies.
What would ensure success in this role?
- Minimum 3 years in direct marketing, CRM, or marketing automation roles.
- Proven experience managing multi-channel communication campaigns.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., Braze, Bird, Hubspot, Marketo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar).
- Familiarity with customer segmentation, data handling, and A/B testing.
- Basic knowledge of HTML for email customization is a plus.
- Strong ability to analyze campaign data, generate insights, and recommend optimizations.
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including content, design, and analytics.
- Highly detail-oriented to ensure error-free execution of campaigns.
