About the role

As our Senior Data Scientist, you’ll play a strategic and technical leadership role in building advanced machine learning models and data-driven solutions that shape the direction of our business. Your work will inform key decisions across areas like customer retention, forecasting, and personalisation—helping us scale smarter and serve customers better.

Beyond hands-on modeling, you’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to define data science roadmaps, influence product and business strategy, and ensure that insights are deeply embedded in how we operate. You’ll take ownership of high-impact projects from end to end, mentor other data scientists, and help establish best practices that elevate the entire team

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test and productionize predictive algorithms by using state of the art machine learning algorithms and statistical models
  • Generate and execute on ideas for exploratory analysis to shape future projects and provide recommendations for action
  • Continuously propose strategic changes and optimizations to the way we track, maintain and use data working closely with data engineering
  • Create dashboards and reports to regularly communicate results and monitor key metrics
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across disciplines such as product, engineering, marketing amongst others; identify use cases for data science applications.

Qualifications

  • MSc in a scientific discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, or Statistics.
  • Deep theoretical and applied knowledge in the following areas: forecasting, traditional machine learning, reinforcement learning, statistical inference, time series analysis, mathematical optimisation.
  • Extensive experience with the end-to-end predictive/prescriptive model development cycle, from problem definition to productionalisation and maintenance
  • Strong data modeling and SQL skills.
  • Familiarity with orchestration tools (Airflow, Luigi) and cloud infrastructures (GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Solid software engineering skills, and extensive experience using the Python ML and DS ecosystem.
  • Working knowledge of agile development.
  • Change management skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong presentation skills in communicating with experts and novices.
  • The ability to manage a team is desirable.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
