About the Role
At Veeam, Lead Sales Systems Engineers work closely with our Sales Teams and help to evangelize our product offerings to our customers, and partners. These positions require significant travel within the region of responsibility.
To excel in this role, Lead Sales Systems Engineers need to have strong technical knowledge and expertise in the relevant industry. They also need to possess excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey complex technical information to non-technical individuals. Additionally, problem-solving behavior and analytical skills are essential to identify and address customer needs and challenges.
We are looking for a self-starter who drives business opportunities in a proactive manner and acts as a trusted advisor in the ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Work with sales to help secure and grow business with new and existing end-user customers, Cloud and Hosting Providers
- Provide web-based and on-site demonstrations of Veeam product portfolio including training, enablement, joint meetings
- Provide pre-sales support and/or on-site assistance to customers as they evaluate Veeam software
- Together with sales colleagues build and maintain relationships with customers and strategic alliance partners
- Provide input for and participate in Veeam marketing events
- Conduct Product POCs (Proof of Concept) to customers
- Prepare the B.O.M, RFPs/ RFQs depending on the exact need of the customers
- Demonstrate new technologies & train internal staff/customers
- Work independently or work with the team in identifying and qualifying business opportunities
- Provide Technical compliance and competitive analysis of products that are part of the solution
- Hands-On experience in Hypervisors and Cloud environments
- Coordinate presales efforts with customers, through the help and collaboration of Veeam Solution Architects, System Integrators, and Professional Services figures (regardless if they are Veeam colleagues or via Partners)
What You’ll Bring
- Ability to drive business conversations with relevant stakeholders like C-Level at the customers
- Can advise customer decisions on their future business strategy, and have the ability to ensure total customer experience on assigned accounts
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Comfortable in presenting to groups, both remotely and in-person
- 50% travel expected across the Switzerland
- A self-starter with the ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Client interaction for requirement gathering and understanding existing infrastructure
- Knowledge in VMware and Microsoft virtualization technologies in large environments
- Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Azure, AWS; be comfortable to position and engage discussion around Cloud technologies
Bonus Skills
- VMCE certification would be an advantage - employees can obtain VMCE and VMCA once they have started the job.
- Knowledge in Kubernetes technologies platforms is an advantage
