The product: 

Veeam Data Cloud (VDC) is a fast-growing Backup as a Service (BaaS) platform that provides comprehensive data protection and recovery for cloud workloads. Today, VDC supports Microsoft 365, EntraID, Salesforce, and Azure - with rapid expansion planned to include additional Veeam workloads and new SaaS services. As a strategic priority for Veeam, VDC is on track to become the company’s top-selling product within the next few years. 
 

Your tasks will include: 

 Are you excited about the AI revolution but skeptical of the real-world value it has delivered so far? If you’re looking for a high-impact role focused on practical applications of AI rather than hype, this opportunity may be for you. 

We are seeking a seasoned product leader to define and deliver the next generation of AI-powered capabilities for Veeam Data Cloud. This is a unique chance to both accelerate our existing product line and launch entirely new offerings. Your responsibilities will include:  

  • Conduct market research and gather insights to deeply understand customer needs in data protection and security. Focus on how AI can solve these problems and unlock new opportunities
  • Develop and champion a compelling vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered enablement and expansion of the VDC product line
  • Translate your roadmap into feature specifications and requirements. Scope and prioritize capabilities based on customer value and business impact
  • Partner with engineering, design, and QA teams to deliver high-quality, market-leading solutions iteratively
  • Define and track success metrics for your product areas
  • Execute product launches and announcements with marketing and PR teams. Drive commercialization readiness through go-to-market and support teams
  • Evangelize the VDC AI capabilities, and Veeam more broadly, through blog posts, webinars, and conference talks

 
What we expect from you: 

  • 10+ years in product management roles, with experience owning complex systems or enterprise B2B products
  • 3+ years building AI/ML-based products (e.g., recommender systems, classification models, agentic systems, automated insights)
  • Demonstrated experience leading 0-to-1 efforts at enterprise scale and complexity
  • Strong technical fluency in AI/ML concepts (e.g. model types, evaluation metrics, algorithm limitations, architectures)
  • Proven success defining and executing on an AI or data driven product strategy, with an ability to shift between strategic vision and detailed execution
  • Fluency in discovery, prioritization, roadmap development, feature scoping, launch excellence, GTM coordination, and optimization across multiple product areas
  • Demonstrated strong bias for action, ownership mentality, and driving things to completion. Ability to work independently and solve problems autonomously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills at different levels, from deep technical discussions with product team through to strategy discussions with executives
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence without authority in a complex organizational context

 
Will be an advantage: 

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
  • Expertise in AI safety, responsible AI, governance, or navigating legal and ethical considerations in AI
  • Knowledge of embeddings, vector search, or general AI-focused data processing
  • Experience in the data protection, cybersecurity, or enterprise SaaS industries (bonus if familiar with Veeam's ecosystem)

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$188,400 - $269,200 USD
