Key Responsibilities
- Creating new levels for puzzle mobile games.
- Support of documentation for levels (specifics of each level).
- Collaborate with the art, product, design, and development teams to align creative and technical goals.
- Conduct research to improve the quality of levels.
- Balance gameplay elements within artistic and technical constraints.
- Help identify and resolve issues uncovered by playtests and feedback from cross-functional teams.
- Incorporate narrative and emotional goals into the gameplay experience.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- 3+ years of experience as a Level Designer in the gaming industry, ideally in casual or hyper-casual puzzle games
- Solid experience with Unity and level editors, including level setup, prefabs, and in-game tools
- Strong understanding of level design fundamentals: progression, pacing, difficulty curves, and player flow
- Experience designing puzzle mechanics (goals, blockers, boosters, etc.) and player engagement
- Basic understanding of UX/UI principles in level design and tutorial/onboarding design
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to iterate based on feedback and metrics
- Passion for mobile casual games and awareness of market trends
- Strong communication skills and the ability to learn quickly
- Proficiency in English and Russian.
Will be a plus:
- Ability to read and analyze game metrics: funnel by level, average completion time, % completion, and number of attempts.
