The role is working within our studio: ZephyrMobile

You’ll be joining the ZephyrMobile team, which was originally formed in 2016 and has been part of Tripledot since May 2024. 

The studio has achieved impressive success in the mobile puzzle games genre. Over 100 million people have installed games developed by the Zephyr team.

Zephyr is famous for its creative and inclusive atmosphere, where every member of the team can contribute ideas and suggestions towards game development.

The largest games produced by ZephyrMobile: Get Color, NutSort, Hey Color, Math Crossword, Block Away, Car Out!.

Role Overview

In this role you’ll be working closely with the Zephyr development team to work on the art for our new puzzle games.

You’ll be working across the whole product, developing ideas from conception to completion. 

We are looking for an artist with a high level of expertise, with a systematic approach to work, able to work independently. It is very important to be creative, proactive and open to experimentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full art pipeline - from initial concept through to release.
  • Refine and iterate on graphic content for live games.
  • Build and animate UI in Unity with a developer, and adjust effects and animations post-build.
  • Create graphical assets across the board - icons, interface elements, store screenshots and in-game visuals.
  • Contribute to advertising creatives.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Strong 2D skills across concept art, assets and animation.
    • 3D experience is a big plus.
  • Confident in Figma with solid UI/UX experience in games or apps.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop essential, After Effects a plus.
  • Good eye for composition, colour theory and visual hierarchy.
  • Experience building game interfaces and applying UX principles to solve gameplay and business problems.
  • Comfortable working in Unity or eager to learn.
  • Able to maintain a consistent art style across a product.
  • Used to collaborating with designers, developers and producers to keep visuals aligned with product goals.
  • Clear communicator who can present and stand behind design decisions.
  • Background in art and/or game development - and a portfolio that shows it.
