Salesforce Senior Developer/Lead

The Salesforce Developer Lead will support the expansion of our Salesforce capabilities while working on projects from requirement gathering to design and implementation. Responsibilities will include Salesforce configuration and development (Apex and LWCs) along with system maintenance and customization to support business requirements. The role demands considerable Salesforce.com experience developing programmatically and providing architectural recommendations.This is an exciting role which will allow the successful candidate to gain exposure to multiple Salesforce Clouds and be a part of a dynamic team, interacting with stakeholders across different departments and levels.
How you will contribute:
- Proactively interact with stakeholders to understand Salesforce requirements and subsequently translate them into technical specifications;
- Manage delivery of functional and technical solutions and system integrations including testing strategy and execution;
- Ensure proposed technical solutions meet Salesforce coding best practice and code coverage to be at 90%+;
- Manage existing and build new integrations between Salesforce and other applications;
- Perform and execute functional testing;
- Work with business colleagues to gain user acceptance and take up;
- Create and keep Salesforce related technical documents and training materials up-to-date;
- Keep up-to-date with new Salesforce releases and promptly identify features which could add value to the Economist’s Salesforce users and those which will impact existing processes and require urgent attention as required;
- Perform administrative tasks such as creating or updating fields, page layouts, process builders and flows, reports and dashboards and managing data using data loader or other tools.
- Experience working in a product led development environment, with a focus on quality and velocity to deliver our roadmap.
The ideal skills for this role are:
- Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent);
- At least Administrator, Platform Developer I. Platform Developer II and Javascript Developer certifications.
- In depth and progressive Salesforce experience (from administrator to developer) gained in a similar role;
- Experience working on Salesforce products - Sales, Service and Experience Clouds;
- Knowledge of REST and SOAP API's, along with understanding semi-structure data like JSON;
- Ability to design complex SOQL and SOSL queries;
- The development of custom front-end Lightning Web Components;
- Point-and-click development within a Lightning environment;
- Analysis and design through to successful implementation of Salesforce.com, including experience with Salesforce.com developer toolkit including Apex Classes, Controllers, Triggers, Batch jobs;
- Ability to manage code coverage within the governance limit;
- Ability to provide application users with technical and functional support;
- A good understanding of the Salesforce data model, alongside designing future object definitions and relationships;
- Exposure to Agile development methodologies and JIRA as a project management application;
- A proven track record of successful project delivery with at least three full project life cycles completed;
- Excellent teamwork with both clients and colleagues;
- Experience in development in Typescript/React/Next,js
- Experience in developing on cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS (not essential)
