About the opportunity
This role sits within our Teads Studio Germany team, based in our vibrant Hamburg office. Teads Studio is our in-house creative hub, responsible for helping global brands transform standard assets into rich, interactive, and highly engaging digital video and display formats. You will join a collaborative local team of designers, developers, and creative strategists working to deliver cutting-edge advertising solutions for the DACH region.
- Core Mission: Support the local design and strategy team in conceptualizing, adapting, and producing cutting-edge mobile and interactive display ad units using the Teads Studio platform.
- Team Alignment: Work closely with members of all departments—primarily Sales, Creative Strategy, and Ad Operations—to gather project specs and deliver high-impact ad mockups.
- Scope of Ownership: Take hands-on ownership of graphic asset preparation, interactive ad formatting, and building stunning client-facing creative presentation decks.
- Impact Metric: Success in this role means delivering pixel-perfect, on-brand creative concepts and mockups within agreed-upon timelines to support and win commercial campaigns.
What will you do?
Creative Innovation & Design
- Craft Interactive Ad Units: Create compelling, immersive, and interactive video and display ads based on client briefs.
- Protect Brand Identities: Ensure all design outcomes are strictly true to our clients' brand guidelines, color palettes, and style standards.
- Design Presentation Materials: Support the local design and strategy team in building highly visual, impactful PowerPoint decks to pitch creative ideas to clients.
Execution & Flawless Delivery
- Prepare Design Assets: Slice, crop, and format raw client assets (images, vectors, and video clips) using Photoshop and After Effects to ensure they are optimized for our platform.
- Maintain Quality Control: Verify that ad templates and mockups strictly match internal technical specifications and deployment guidelines.
- Contribute to Portfolio Growth: Help innovate and test new interactive design layouts to expand Teads' global ad format portfolio.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner Cross-Functionally: Work daily with Sales and Ad Operations to gather technical project specs and coordinate creative deployment procedures.
- Communicate Progress: Maintain transparent, proactive communication regarding project status, design revisions, and timelines.
What will you bring to the team?
Must-Haves
- Student Status: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Germany, preferably in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Communication Design, or a related creative field (available to work up to 20 hours/week during the semester).
- Experience: 0–1 years of experience in graphic design (prior internships, freelancing, or strong university project work).
- Technical Software: Good working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, with a strong focus on Photoshop and After Effects.
- Presentation Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint with an eye for modern slide design.
- Time Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage your time effectively and meet tight deadlines.
- Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal). Good working knowledge of German is highly appreciated.
- Portfolio: A portfolio showing clean design layouts, digital assets, and any motion graphics/video editing examples.
Nice-to-Haves
- Basic understanding of web development languages, particularly HTML and CSS.
- Basic knowledge of 3D design software (e.g., Cinema 4D, Blender) or advanced video editing techniques.
- Experience working in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment.
