(Senior) Technical Application Architect

You are the visionary builder behind our software landscape. As a Technical Application Architect, you don't just design systems: you craft the blueprint for scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that power the mobility industry. You operate at the intersection of deep technical expertise and strategic business goals, ensuring that our software "Miles" remains robust and future-proof. In this influential role at a hidden champion of mobility tech, you guide development teams, define standards, and turn complex business needs into elegant architectural realities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- You design sophisticated application architectures that seamlessly meet both functional and non-functional requirements
- You collaborate closely with product owners, business analysts, and developers to translate business vision into concrete technical solutions
- You lead technical discussions, providing expert guidance on system integration, performance optimization, and security standards
- You define and maintain technology standards, frameworks, and best practices, ensuring a high bar for code quality and maintainability
- You document architectural decisions (ADRs) and create clear diagrams (C4, sequence) to ensure transparency and traceability
- You evaluate emerging technologies and proactively recommend their adoption to keep our tech stack on the cutting edge
Your skills and interests:
- You have deep expertise in software architecture principles, design patterns, and modeling techniques (e.g., C4, sequence diagrams)
- You possess a solid understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and modern integration strategies
- You are proficient in modern programming languages (e.g., Java 21) and frameworks (e.g., JavaEE, Quarkus)
- You have experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and relational databases (Oracle, MSSQL, Postgres)
- You enjoy solving complex problems strategically and have a passion for Domain Driven Design (DDD)
- You are a strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and mentor development teams
- You are fluent in English and thrive in an agile, international environment where you can take ownership and drive quality
