Senior UI/UX Designer 

Permanent Full Time 

Location:  Singapore 

 

The Senior UI/UX Designer will help translate ideas and research findings into tangible product features, including taking projects from initial scoping requirements through actual design, development and testing.  

You will work with a multi-cultural, multi-disciplined team in a fast-paced, dynamic, agile environment and collaborate closely with other designers, engineers and clients from various parts of the world to take products from concept to delivery, whilst ensuring that our products are constantly effective, competitive and delivering high-level customer experiences. 

 

Major Responsibilities   

DESIGN 

  • Use research and data insights to help inform and shape design decisions that drive commercial outcomes;
  • Partner closely with product manager and systems architect to develop ideas for known problems and opportunities;
  • Generate effective user-centered design solutions by considering market research, business requirements and customer needs;
  • Translate business requirements into use cases and high-level customer experience requirements;
  • Turn around rigorous wireframes and visual mockups, as well as build interactive prototypes to test ideas and communicate them both, internally and externally; 
  • Design the interface and interaction flow of new products and features, and specify user-interface interaction;  
  • Plan and conduct usability testing and assessment;  
  • Manage all design components to ensure designs are delivered within project timelines;  
  • Support development of products and features throughout delivery, providing alternative solutions and aligning to design intent;  
  • Collaborate with development teams on creating and implementing a cohesive visual language and UX patterns across design projects;  
  • Work with and iterate on design systems and libraries. 

STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT 

  • Develop and maintain strong professional and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders;  
  • Communicate design rationale to stakeholders to achieve alignment and shared understanding;  
  • Partner closely with teams to continuously ensure UX is a core part of our delivery;  
  • Work closely with management in key strategic planning to support the company’s growth while collaborating with other functions to identify areas of possible growth and monetization opportunities. 

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience  

  • Solid understanding and proven experience in an end-to-end design process;  
  • Familiarity with user research and usability testing methods;  
  • Excellent UX design skills for creating highly usable user flows and interactions, with a propensity towards simplification; 
  • Effective collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary team;
  • Open-mindedness and constantly looking to push for improvements in flow and success rate;
  • Creative candor – the desire to challenge any decision with rationale, also your own;
  • Experience working with design systems and libraries and a strong sense for UX pattern consistency;
  • Experience working in Agile development processes;  
  • Previous experience in a technology-based company or in growing businesses in emerging markets;  
  • MSc/BSc degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is preferred.
