Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Your Role

As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Razor Group, you will play a key role in building and maintaining reliable, scalable, and observable infrastructure for our data platform. You will collaborate closely with engineering and data teams to shape the architecture and drive innovation across our cloud-based environment—ensuring seamless integration and operation of our internal developer platform and services.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex systems problems through code and automation, and who values reliability, observability, and developer productivity.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Build, manage, and continuously improve the internal developer platform to enhance developer productivity, streamline deployments, and ensure reliable operations across services.
• Develop tools and automation in Python, Go, or similar languages to eliminate manual work (toil) and improve system reliability.
• Architect, deploy, and maintain scalable, cost-effective, and secure infrastructure on AWS, leveraging services like AWS EKS, EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Redshift, RDS, DynamoDB and IAM Identity.
• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to enable smooth, secure, and automated deployments across environments.
• Design and manage modular, reusable Terraform code to provision and maintain AWS infrastructure across multiple environments, ensuring consistency, scalability, and team collaboration
• Instrument systems and services for observability using Open Telemetry, Grafana, and similar tools to improve visibility and reduce MTTD/MTTR.
• Own the health, scalability, and observability of our production systems.
• Define and enforce SLOs, SLIs, and error budgets in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead post-incident reviews and blameless retrospectives.
• Collaborate with data engineers and developers to improve system reliability, security, performance, and development workflows.

 

Your Profile

To succeed in this role, you:

• Have 4+ years of experience in SRE, Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering roles.

• Have strong background in Linux systems, networking, containers (Docker), and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Are proficient in at least one programming language (Python/Go preferred).
• Have hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS) and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Have proficiency with GitHub, including GitHub Actions, version control workflows, and repository management.
• Have solid understanding of observability practices — logs, metrics, traces (e.g., Open Telemetry, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Have excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to system optimization and incident resolution.
• Have familiarity with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins).
• Have excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across teams
