What will you do

The Junior Accountant plays a vital role in supporting the accurate maintenance of statutory and management accounts for our entities in Belgium and international locations. This position involves assisting the accounting team in various financial activities, contributing to the overall financial accuracy and compliance 

Where will you have impact:

• Daily Accounting Tasks: Handle day-to-day tasks including booking invoices and bank statements accurately and promptly.
• Accounts Management: Update accounts payable and accounts receivable records and conduct reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
• Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in processing balance sheets, income statements, and other financial statements in alignment with legal and company financial guidelines.
• Monthly/Yearly Closings: Collaborate with senior accountants to prepare monthly/yearly closings, including general ledger entries, accruals, amortisations, depreciations, and provisions.
• Accounting Projects: Provide support for various accounting projects and initiatives as needed.

Who you are:

• Educational Background: Graduate or Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field or equivalent through experience. 
• Detail Orientation: Possess strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial records and reporting.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively within a team, contributing to a cooperative work environment.
• Pressure Handling: Demonstrated capability to work under pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing tasks and priorities in a dynamic work environment.
• Strong proficiency in financial software and tools, including Excel.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and reporting.
• Fluent in English and Dutch, both written and spoken, any other language used within our company network is a plus. 
• Ability to set goals, conduct thorough analysis, foster collaboration with passion, and consistently communicate effectively
