What you will do
As a Senior Data Architect, you’ll be the bridge between our data foundation teams and the enterprise analytics team. Over the last year, we’ve worked on a new platform and infrastructure which brings all our datasets (including from acquired businesses) together. We have the solution to drive actionability and insights.
You’ll work on and design new data solutions based on business and product input. You’ll take feedback from one enterprise customer and leverage it into a product led roadmap guiding a vast variety of users. Your work will directly shape how enterprise customers derive value from our unparalleled hospitality datasets.
Where you will have impact
- You’ll support a new product segment within Lighthouse, fully focused on the enterprise ICP: Data solutions.
- You’ll translate problems, enterprise business requirements into dataset, pipelines and dashboards that feel tailored to their use case. But, at the same time, are extremely scalable.
- You’ll take cost, best practices into account when modeling the Data solutions data domains.
- You’ll be a mentor, sounding board for other team members, product and other engineering teams.
- You’ll leverage the most comprehensive hospitality dataset around, the only one combining Short term Rental and to drive actionable insights and to build.
- You’ll partake, influence and evaluate Proof of concepts for data solutions and transform them into fully productionised features.
- You’ll continuously explore and implement innovative data solutions to stay ahead of industry trends.

Who you are
- 5 years of experience in data analytics, data science or data engineering, preferably in a SaaS platform
- You are a high-energy professional with a passion for data, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
- You can manage all kinds of business stakeholders and champion a data-driven culture within the organisation.
- You are a strong communicator that can describe complex topics in a simple way to a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders - in both written and spoken English.
- You have solid relational modelling (efficient in SQL) and programming skills (preferably in Python).
- You can ship large data pipeline or features in Bigquery and DBT.
- You can create compelling data visualizations using tools like Tableau or Looker Studio (or anything similar)
- You can follow standard software engineering practices, e.g. use of version control.
- You are able to present concrete examples of data sets and Proof of concepts towards engineering, product and business stakeholders to convince of the potential value.
- You embrace constructive feedback, and confidently express opinions.
- You stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in analytics engineering.
- You think strategically about how to leverage data for long-term business outcomes while managing short-term deliverables.

Google Cloud Pub/Sub, looker, BigQuery, Dataflow, Kubernetes, Airflow, Python, Dbt, Terraform.
