Curricular Internship - Marketing

As a Marketing Intern, your primary focus will be on supporting the marketing team in building and enhancing the NextSTEP brand through compelling content creation and strategic branding initiatives. This role offers hands-on experience in developing brand assets, creating engaging content, and helping to shape the brand’s identity across digital platforms. You will work closely with senior marketers and content creators, gaining insight into how effective branding and storytelling drive customer engagement and business growth.

 

KEY ACTIVITIES

•    Assisting in the development and execution of branding strategies to elevate NextSTEP’s brand presence.
•    Supporting the creation of high-quality, engaging content across various channels, including social media, blogs, websites, and email campaigns.
•    Collaborating with the design team to produce visually appealing marketing materials that align with the brand’s voice and image.
•    Conducting research on industry trends, competitors, and target audiences to inform branding and content decisions.
•    Assisting in managing content calendars, ensuring timely delivery of posts, and maintaining consistency in messaging.
•    Engaging with audiences through social media, gathering feedback, and identifying ways to improve brand storytelling.
•    Preparing reports on content performance and recommending adjustments to optimize brand visibility and engagement.

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

•    Creative Thinking: The ability to generate fresh ideas and produce compelling, original content that resonates with target audiences.
•    Branding Awareness: Basic understanding of branding principles and how to apply them to create a consistent, engaging brand identity.
•    Content Creation Skills: Experience in writing, editing, and crafting content for digital platforms, with attention to tone, style, and audience preferences.
•    Visual Storytelling: Basic knowledge of design principles and an eye for creating visually appealing content, in collaboration with designers.
•    Communication Skills (in English): Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to create clear, compelling messaging that aligns with the brand’s voice.
•    Time Management & Prioritization: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, creative environment.
•    Flexibility: Being an effective team player means being flexible in your approach and open to getting involved with new things, even if they are not spelt out in your job description.
•    Tech-Savviness: Familiarity with content management systems, social media platforms, and basic graphic design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
•    Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

•    Current university student 
•    Prior experience in content creation, branding, or a similar role is desirable

•    Hybrid working – we will need you in the Milan (San Babila) office from time to time, but you will normally be able to work remotely.
