Senior Content Designer

We are looking for a Senior Content Designer to join our growing team. As the second content designer at Mentimeter, you will play a big part in shaping the role, the way we work, and crafting the product experience together with your partners in Design, Product, and Engineering.

As a Senior Content Designer, you will focus on the written aspects of our product experience using both product copy and UX design to solve user needs and achieve business goals. 

• You will ship high-quality products and improvements, from early concepts to high-fidelity prototypes and visuals. 
• You will help level up our writing practice by performing audits, establishing guidelines and designing content patterns that create more cohesive user experiences. 
• You will build a verbal identity that builds brand through tone, and that is connected to our brand values. 
• You will partner with product teams and use AI tools to build the language of AI at Mentimeter.
• You will collaborate closely with other writing functions within Marketing, Sales and Support to create aligned messaging.

As a Senior Content Designer, you will support multiple teams across the entire product experience, looking holistically at how we express ourselves, but also helping identify specific needs and initiatives. 

Who we are looking for

To thrive in this role as a Senior content designer, we believe you are someone who loves the craft of writing, has an eye for user experiences, and can push content design at Mentimeter forward. You collaborate well with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers. You are as passionate about crafting clear and compelling messaging as solving user needs. 

You believe in the power of experimentation and balancing gut feelings with insights. You use hypothesis writing, validation, and iteration to ensure your words deliver the right impact.

You have a knack for thinking in systems and see consistency as a key perspective to your role. Creating patterns and guidelines is a natural part of your process. You effectively prioritize your time and continuously evaluate where you can make the most impact, and which initiatives to treat with an “80-20” mindset.

Skills and requirements

• 5+ years of experience in an English-speaking Content Design or UX Writing role.
• Native-level written and spoken English. You are highly skilled at turning abstract concepts into simple sentences.
• You have worked in a product company with cross-functional teams and identified ways to scale content practices across teams and areas.
• You have helped build processes and guidelines for UX writing or content design in a product context and are interested in shaping the role of content design at Mentimeter.
• You have worked with localization and translation processes, and worked in content management systems for a significant amount of time and can demonstrate your ability in these areas. 
• You continuously use insights throughout the writing process to understand, ideate, and validate.
• You can lead, support, and enable others while working on complex projects across multiple teams.  
• You create positive relationships and consistently show the value and impact of great content.
• You see diversity and inclusion as key aspects in both your writing and the teams you work with.

Not required:

• You don't have to know Swedish (daily work is carried out in English, and the Mentimeter team currently boasts over 50+ different nationalities!)
