The Opportunity

As the Field Marketing Manager for North America, you will be the direct marketing extension of the regional sales team. This role is responsible for building and executing a targeted marketing plan to generate qualified pipeline and accelerate opportunities within the North American market. You will work hand-in-hand with sales leaders to understand their pipeline needs and translate them into effective, measurable marketing campaigns and events.

Responsibilities

  • Regional Strategy & Planning: Partner directly with the North America sales leadership to understand their sales goals, key target accounts, and regional pipeline needs. Develop and own the annual and quarterly field marketing plan for the region.
  • Pipeline Generation: Design, execute, and manage a mix of targeted marketing programs to drive new pipeline and influence existing opportunities. This includes a blend of digital, account-based marketing (ABM), and in-person/virtual events.
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM): Build and implement ABM campaigns in partnership with sales to penetrate and expand our footprint within strategic enterprise accounts. You will be responsible for identifying target accounts and tailoring content and messaging to key personas.
  • Field Events & Sponsorships: Plan and execute a variety of field marketing activities, including regional trade shows, local meet-ups, executive dinners, and virtual events. You will manage the entire event lifecycle from concept and promotion to execution and post-event follow-up.
  • Campaign Management: Work cross-functionally with the central demand generation and product marketing teams to localize global campaigns and create region-specific content to resonate with the North American audience.
  • Metrics & ROI: Be highly metric-oriented. You will track and report on campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI for all field marketing activities. You will use data to continuously optimize your programs and provide clear visibility into your results.
  • Sales Collaboration: Act as the primary marketing contact for the North America sales team. You will conduct regular check-ins, present marketing plans, gather feedback, and ensure alignment between marketing and sales efforts.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, with at least 3 years in a field marketing or regional marketing role, preferably within the enterprise software, SaaS, or open-source industry.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful field marketing campaigns that have directly contributed to pipeline and revenue goals.
  • Deep understanding of the marketing funnel and a strong grasp of how to build programs for each stage, from top-of-funnel awareness to bottom-of-funnel conversion.
  • Hands-on experience with Account-Based Marketing (ABM) tools and strategies.
  • Demonstrable experience in planning and managing events (both virtual and in-person) from start to finish.
  • Proficiency in CRM (Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot).
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing programs.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively partner with a regional sales team.

Experience marketing to the database, cloud, or developer audience.

Compensation:

The annual anticipated U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is USD $120,000 - $160,000.

Actual salaries may vary and fall outside of this range depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, geographic location, skills, experience, and competencies.

In addition, we are often open to a wide variety of profiles, and recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than the job description as posted.
