What you will do

As a People Operations Specialist, you’ll be responsible for benefits, compensation, compliance, and driving continuous improvement. You’ll have an impact on multiple projects that impact our global employee workforce, from processing payroll and building our total reward packages, to ensuring legal compliance and streamlining processes as we grow.

Where you will have impact

  • Ensuring the data integrity of our HRIS, payroll, and HR tooling systems. As a data focused organization, the accuracy of People Operations reporting is critical to our success. 
  • You take ownership of the US employee benefit programs, working with the People Operations Manager and brokers to build a strategic benefits plan. You keep our workforce informed through engaging sessions and answering day to day benefits questions. 
  • Partnering with the Global People Operations team to plan and execute the Total Rewards review, ensuring fair and competitive compensation. 
  • Stay ahead of the curve on employment laws and regulations in the AMER regions, proactively keeping our practices and policies compliant and communicating updates effectively. 
  • Identify and implement opportunities to streamline efficiencies, automate tasks, and continuously improve our global HR practices.
  • You’re actively involved in initiatives like year-end, forecasting, and M&A activities, contributing your expertise and proactive approach.
  • Represent the global HR team in our US offices. You help and support our employees with their HR questions and guide them to the right answer or right person to answer their questions.
  • Twice a month payroll processing for US based employees.

The People Operations Team is at the heart of Lighthouse’s People & Talent strategy, ensuring that our employees have the tools, support, and processes needed to thrive. The team is responsible for scaling and managing the systems, workflows, and policies that power our people-related initiatives. From streamlining employee experiences to maintaining compliance and data accuracy, we design, implement, and optimize the infrastructure that keeps our growing global team running smoothly.

You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across all departments, including Talent Enablement, Talent Acquisition, and leadership, to ensure our people-centric systems are efficient, effective, and engaging. Whether it’s creating seamless HRIS experiences or driving system automation, the work we do impacts every employee’s journey at Lighthouse.

Who you are

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in a People Operations, payroll or compensation and benefits role, preferably in an international company.
  • You have experience with various employment types (employees, service providers, EOR). 
  • You are passionate about process improvement, diversity & inclusion, social law, and local health & safety regulations.
  • You love working with people and numbers and you are detail-oriented. You’re willing to learn new things and have a knack for labor, social and employment law.
  • You have exceptional organizational and multitasking skills; juggling deadlines and priorities as they arise. 
  • You anticipate questions that come up in People Operations cycles and proactively work cross functionally to address them.

In addition to benefits and other Lighthouse total rewards, the annual base salary for this role is $70,000.00 - $76,000.00 USD. We benchmark our salary ranges for new hires in relation to the role, level, and role location; however, we consider a multitude of factors, to include relevant experience, skills, and education/training, to determine compensation within the identified range.
