Legal Counsel
Veritas Intercontinental is currently searching for a Legal Support Associate. The Legal Support Associate will be based out of our Madrid Office. This role is a full-time position, reporting into the Veritas HQ team in Spain and also cross functional with our Dublin & EU based Legal team.
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Attorney to join our growing International Legal & Compliance team. You will be expected to handle matters across a variety of disciplines and work effectively with numerous business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have experience with contracting (ideally in healthcare), transactions, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will work closely with the legal, regulatory and compliance teams and other members of human resources and operations teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work on advise and review on commercial contracts as well as day to day compliance issues
- Update guidelines, training and compliance program in the areas of healthcare regulatory compliance
- Provide legal advice and drafting on commercial healthcare contracts
- Provide legal advice and services on issues concerning the rights, obligations, risks and privileges of the organization
- Understanding international regulations for healthcare services in the different countries in which we operate
What we are looking for:
- Fluent Spanish and English
- Must have a Law degree obtained from a Spanish University or have experience working with Spanish Law
- Three to five year’s relevant experience in a Legal role
- Proficiency in the use of computer systems, particularly MS Office Suite
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal
- Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills, all geared toward coordination and education
- An understanding of processing confidential information
Base salary of €35,000-€40,000 yearly.
