Working Student - Avionics Hardware, AGNC (m/f/d)

Mission Brief

You will be an integral part of the Avionics, Guidance, Navigation & Control (AGNC) department, specifically the Avionics Hardware team, that designs, tests and integrates the electronics that control our launch vehicle.

You will participate in testing, development and support activities of avionics prototypes as well as flight worthy avionics systems. Interdisciplinary tasks and fast paced R&D are your daily business, and you thrive in that kind of environment.

Your Role in Our Space Mission: 

  • Perform in-field electrical hardware test campaigns and produce relevant procedures and documentation
  • Support in testing, documentation and design activities of AGNC hardware
  • Perform avionics integration and check-out tasks during launch vehicle build-up, as well as during testing on the launch pad in Norway
  • Build up and maintain automated qualification & acceptance testing infrastructure for the AGNC hardware
  • Perform Troubleshooting and Refurbishment on returned hardware
  • Support in Maintenance of our laboratories
  • Support production & quality interfaces for avionics hardware

Qualification Checklist 

  • Currently enrolled at university in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or comparable
  • Hands-on experience with electronics and power electronics
  • Experience in testing PCBs and electrical systems
  • Experience with Altium Designer
  • “Can do” mentality and positive attitude
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

Bonus Skills

  • Experience in electrical circuit and board design
  • Knowledge of semiconductors and solid-state power controllers
