GNC Engineer - Mission Analysis (m/f/d)
Mission Brief
As part of the Guidance, Navigation, & Control team, you will lead the technical development of the autopilot of the launch vehicle. You will be responsible for developing the necessary simulation environments, investigating launch vehicle configurations and implementing algorithms. Furthermore, you will actively drive the development of future GNC software.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Perform trajectory tailoring in ASTOS as a vital part of the mission analysis
- Be able to perform, setup and analyze Monte Carlo simulations
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automize performance checks and reporting
- Support the mission analysis and flight licensing procedure and documentation
- Write and evaluate intedisciplinary GNC requirements to other departments
Qualification Checklist
- Master’s degree or PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or similar
- At least 2 years of experience in mathematical modelling, development and validation of algorithms throughout the disciplines of Guidance, Navigation and Control
- Strong background in mathematical modelling and data analysis in MATLAB and all relevant Tools (Simulink, Stateflow, autocoding etc.)
- Proficient in trajectory optmization using ASTOS
- Basic knowledge in rigid body and Orbit mechanics
- Experience with mission analysis and trajectory tailoring procedure for orbital launch vehicles
- Experience with GIT and CI/CD pipeline automation
- Proficient in data analysis in frequency and time domain with Python

Maintain and drive a high standard of technical documentation, able to formulate technical requirements and take responsibility for technical decisions
