(Senior) People Operations Specialist (m/f/d)
Mission Brief
As a People Operations Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient HR processes across the entire employee lifecycle. You will be the go-to person for HR administration, while also managing payroll and contributing to the continuous improvement of our HR systems.
This is an opportunity based on-site at our headquarters in Ottobrunn.
Your Role in Our Space Mission:
- Manage all administrative HR processes from onboarding to offboarding, preparing employment contracts, certificates, and other HR-related documents
- Maintain and optimize our HR System and digital tools
- Manage monthly payroll processes in collaboration with external stakeholders and manage employee benefits
- Act as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries
- Monitor the time tracking system and report vacation balances, sick leave, and other absences and balances
- Coordinate visa applications and work permit processes for international hires
- Ensure compliance with labor law and internal policies
- Contribute to HR projects focused on process optimization
Qualification Checklist
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, psychology or related degree or equivalent
- At least 5 years of Generalist experience within Talent/Human Resources/People Operations preferably within payroll and an understanding of collective employment law - Nice to have: ideally in a start-up environment
- Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team
- Ability to work in a multicultural environment and handle confidential information
- Driven and target-oriented with analytical problem solving skills and very strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and proactive with high attention to detail
- Proficient knowledge in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Fluent in English and German
