Visual Merchandising Manager

OVERVIEW:

As Visual Merchandising Manager you will be responsible for supporting the creation and execution of global visual directives to achieve compelling visual presentations for Gymshark stores. You will digitally and physically execute presentations of all products that have been developed through our commercial process, ensuring products come to life for the customer, ultimately leading to higher conversion and ATV.  

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Building Processes: This role will initially focus on building VM process for an omni channel business considering both physical and digital channels ensuring processes are scalable for our growing channels.
  • Assortment Wire-Framing: Work closely with Merchandising Teams to “wire-frame” assortments, mapping commercial priorities and marketing assets to presentations.
  • Front of Store: Partner with merchandising, brand, marketing and retail teams to plan monthly store sets, windows and front of store presentations;
  • Floor Sets: Build pre-season plans for monthly floorsets to bring each “set” to life across all product tiers, and by gender/category priorities, communicate plans through to execution including support on in-season shifts based on actual selling.  
  • Style Guides: Build season style guides in collaboration with brand stylists to drive in-store mannequins.
  • Retail Ops & Field VM: Partner with Retail Ops & Field VM to handover seasonal and monthly floorset docs.
  • Sample Management: Collaborate with sample mgmt team on sample intake and distribution for Commercial Process Meetings (Experience Coordination, Photoshoot Styleout)
  • Trends: Maintain a pulse on current and relevant market and visual merchandising trends.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and support to field Visual Leads on best practices, visual standards, and new initiatives to support visual merchandising goals.
  • NSO Floorsets:
    • Lead the visual merchandising execution for new store launches, from concept to completion.
    • Collaborate with the construction and store operations teams to ensure the store layout and design align with brand standards & commercial priorities (fixture density).
    • Concept and lead the build of in-store displays, fixtures, and signage that reflect the company's seasonal and promotional strategies. 
    • Conduct walk-throughs to ensure all merchandising meets the brand’s visual guidelines before store opening and when hosting pre-opening review sessions.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 6-8 years retail industry and store experience
  • Strong understanding of retail operations and visual presentation techniques
  • Elevated fashion and styling sense with the ability to incorporate new fashion trends into projects
  • Commercial acumen, connects dots on the impact VM has commercially & to our customer
  • Experience with building training material & facilitating to retail/field VM teams
  • Effective facilitator, storyteller and highly effective communicator both in writing & speech
  • Problem solver who is familiar with developing creative solutions
  • Organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task
  • Knowledge of emerging digital tools
  • Ability to travel & work across timezones where required
  • Computer skills preferred – Microsoft Office

Please note this is a hybrid role partially based in our New York City office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States. 

 

SALARY RANGE

This role has a salary range between $120-160,000. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills.
