Getnet Payments (Global team) is looking for a Cost Control Associate, based in Boadilla del Monte.
Getnet has the aim to consolidate payment businesses around the world through a differential value proposal in a business with great potential, creating the conditions and synergies to compete globally with the major international players in the sector.
Based on the unique value proposition and brand value of Getnet in LatAm and Europe, Getnet will be expanding the acquiring franchise to additional markets. Nowadays, Getnet is the largest acquirer in Latam (Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Brazil and Uruguay) and we already operate in Europe.
To achieve this goal, we are building a cloud based acquiring architecture in which products are built based on microservices and deployed at all markets simultaneously, shortening time to market and improving value for customers. 📌 What you will be doing
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Cost Control Associate to join the Global FP&A team and support the monitoring and control of the company’s cost structure across geographies.
Reporting to Global FP&A, and working closely with Getnet tech hubs and acquirers, your main responsibilities will include:
- Support monthly closing activities related to OPEX and CAPEX
- Perform Budget vs Actual analysis and clearly explain key variances
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts
- Monitor departmental expenses and ensure alignment with approved budgets
- Identify cost deviations and proactively escalate relevant risks or opportunities
- Prepare recurring financial reports and dashboards for management
- Collaborate with Tech, Product, and Operations teams to validate cost data
- Track key fintech-related cost categories (cloud infrastructure, SaaS, payment processing, regulatory costs)
- Support the development and maintenance of financial models
- Contribute to reporting automation and process improvement initiatives
This role requires strong analytical capabilities, structured thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-growing fintech environment.
✅ What we are looking for
Experience
- Strong track record in FP&A, financial modelling, controlling or planning roles
- Exposure to actuals, forecast and planning cycles
- Experience using planning tools (Oracle EPM or similar) is a plus
- Experience working with financial data from multiple countries or business units
- Experience in fast-paced or growth environments (fintech is a plus)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field
- A Master’s degree in Finance, Corporate Finance, Business Analytics or similar is a plus
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid financial modelling skills and understanding of P&L structure and cost drivers
- Strong analytical capabilities and ability to work with structured financial data
- Experience with Power BI, Power Query, SQL, Oracle, Databricks or similar tools is an advantage
- Understanding of forecasting logic, assumptions and sensitivities
- Ability to identify data inconsistencies, structural effects and model-related issues
- Strong communication skills and ability to work with FP&A, Finance, Tech and regional teams
- Proactive mindset, high attention to detail and ownership attitude
