Associate CFO Office
As an Associate in the CFO Office, you will work at the center of EQT’s financial and strategic agenda. You will combine financial analysis, corporate finance and strategy, partnering closely with the CFO and senior leaders across the firm. About the CFO Office team
The CFO Office is a small, high-impact team working directly alongside EQT’s Chief Financial Officer. The team acts as an internal strategy and finance function for EQT’s leadership, supporting key decisions across the Group.

Within this global context, the CFO Office plays a central role in shaping the firm’s financial direction, supporting M&A, structuring and corporate development initiatives, and strengthening financial communication with investors and stakeholders.
About the role
In this role, you will contribute to a wide range of strategic and financial initiatives. You will work across M&A, structuring, financial analysis, reporting and investor relations, collaborating closely with senior stakeholders across the organization.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Support the CFO function in M&A processes, structuring and corporate finance initiatives.
- Build financial models and conduct in-depth analysis to inform strategic decisions.
- Contribute to financial reporting and the preparation of investor relations materials.
- Drive strategic projects from problem framing through analysis to clear recommendations.
- Identify and implement process improvements, including the use of digital tools and AI.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Business Development, Legal, Investor Relations and Valuations teams.
This role offers significant exposure and responsibility, with the opportunity to influence decisions at the highest level of the organization.
About you
You are analytical, curious and motivated by working on complex financial and strategic topics. You enjoy turning data into insight and insight into action. You are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
Essential skills and experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in Financial Due Diligence, Transaction Services, M&A advisory or a similar analytical role.
- Strong financial analysis and accounting skills, with confidence working with complex data and models.
- Solid understanding of corporate finance principles and transaction processes.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analysis into concise and structured narratives.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to manage multiple workstreams effectively.
Nice to have:
- Experience working on M&A transactions or corporate finance projects in an international environment.
- Interest in digital tools and AI, and experience applying them to improve processes or analysis.
- Exposure to the private markets or alternative asset management industry.
