Senior Platform Engineer

EQT is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our engineering platform team in Stockholm. This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys building reliable platforms, working closely with teams, and driving long-term impact.

About the Engineering Platform team

The engineering platform team builds and operates EQT’s core platform, enabling product teams to run secure, reliable, and scalable services, data-products and agentic ai. The team works closely with developers and security partners, with a strong focus on automation, standards, and operational excellence.

About the role

In this role, you will work across EQT’s engineering platform and lead the design and delivery of key platform initiatives. You will collaborate with teams across the organization to drive adoption, improve reliability, and enhance the developer experience.

• Lead the design, architecture, and rollout of platform projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate with engineers across the organization to align on platform standards and best practices.
• Operate and continuously improve the engineering platform.
• Contribute to on-call rotations and support platform reliability.
• Improve platform reliability, security, and developer experience.
• Support incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.

About you

You enjoy working in a high-trust environment and take ownership of building strong technical foundations. You are collaborative, structured in your approach, and motivated by enabling others to succeed.

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience as a senior Platform, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Proven experience leading platform projects from concept through to production.
• Hands-on experience running Kubernetes production environments.
• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform.
• Familiarity with GitOps and CI/CD workflows.

Tech Stack / Environment: GCP, GKE, ArgoCD, Gatekeeper, Cilium, Terraform, CircleCI, GitHub, Cloudflare, Datadog, incident.io, Snowflake, DBT, Hex, Go, Python, Next.js

Nice to have:

• Experience with platform security.
• Knowledge of authentication and identity systems.
• Strong networking knowledge across cloud and Kubernetes environments.
• Interest in the Agentic AI ecosystem
• Experience improving platform and production environment resilience.
