Summary:
Disguise is seeking a highly organized and proactive Resource Manager to join our expanding team in Atlanta. This critical role will report to the Director of Project Management and work closely with the project management team to oversee the allocation of service, solutions, training, support, and project management resources to optimize utilization across projects and organizational initiatives for a global team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a strategic mindset, and excellent communication abilities. This role will own and continuously update Disguise’s resource management tool, make recommendations for more efficient processes, conduct capacity planning, and maintain a comprehensive overview of our internal skillsets and team capacity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project demands, assign internal resources or external contractors based on availability, and constraints to develop effective resource allocation plans.
- Collaborating with project managers, people team, sales managers, and stakeholders to understand project requirements and internal utilization.
- Conduct forecast analysis’ to make accurate forecasts of the organization's demands based on future projects, resource schedules, skillset availability and team members' capacity, with recommendations to minimize or fill any gaps proactively.
- Developing and implementing resource planning strategies to align resource allocation with project demands and organizational goals.
- Optimizing resource utilization by identifying and resolving conflicts, bottlenecks, or imbalances in resource allocation across global teams.
- Responsible for the contractor database and internal resource management tool to maintain accurate resource records, including schedules, utilization reports, and staff availability.
- Monitoring resource utilization trends, preparing reports, and making proactive adjustments to allow for cross-training and equal project opportunities.
- Assisting with other administrative project tasks and reporting as needed.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to assess resource demands and optimize resource allocation.
- Proficiency in using Salesforce, Atlassian tools, resource management software to track, analyze, and report on utilization.
- Experience in working with remote or geographically dispersed teams.
- 3+ years of experience in resource management or a related role, preferably in a project-based environment or creative agency.
- Strong understanding of resource planning, allocation, and optimization principles.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing project priorities and deadlines.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A detail-oriented mindset to maintain accurate resource records and documentation.
