Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong L2 Support Engineer with hands-on experience in React, Python, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Prometheus. The role involves troubleshooting production issues, supporting cloud-native applications, and collaborating closely with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 support for web applications and backend services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in React-based front-end applications.
- Analyze and debug Python services, logs, and API failures.
- Monitor system health using Prometheus and respond to alerts.
- Investigate performance bottlenecks and recurring incidents; perform root cause analysis (RCA).
- Support and maintain applications running on Kubernetes clusters.
- Assist with CI/CD pipelines, deployments, rollbacks, and release validations.
- Read and interpret application, container, and infrastructure logs to identify failure points.
- Collaborate with L3/engineering teams for complex issues and permanent fixes.
- Document incidents, solutions, and operational procedures.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in Application Support / Production Support (L2).
- Strong knowledge of React (debugging UI issues, state management, API integration).
- Solid experience with Python for troubleshooting services and scripts.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (pods, deployments, services, logs).
- Experience with Prometheus and alert-based monitoring.
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts (builds, pipelines, deployments).
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, HTTP status codes, and API troubleshooting.
- Experience reading logs using tools like ELK, CloudWatch, or similar.
- Good incident management and communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Knowledge of Grafana dashboards.
- Exposure to DevOps or SRE practices.
- ITIL or incident management process experience.
