How You’ll Demonstrate Ownership

As the Principal  Academy Engineer, you need to establish the learning standards and strategic direction for our technical content globally. This role is essential to drive cross-functional alignment between Product, Engineering, and Academy, ensuring our curriculum matches the company’s evolving technical architecture. Crucially, this role must also deliver our most advanced and high-stakes bootcamps.

What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Drive the technical content strategy and identify requirements.
• Cross-Functional Learning Architecture: Act as the primary technical liaison with Product & Engineering to ensure training content aligns with core platform architecture.
• High-Stakes Delivery: Deliver in-person and virtual bootcamps for strategic accounts and pilot new advanced courses to validate curriculum effectiveness.
• Standards Definition: Establish and enforce processes, design standards, and quality requirements for all Academy technical content.
• Senior Mentorship: Mentor Senior Academy engineers (L3).

• Strategic Roadmap: Defined and executed the long-term technical curriculum strategy across all product lines.
• Standardization: Established department-wide authoring standards and learning ecosystem best practices adopted by the entire Academy team.
• Cross-Team Impact: Successfully aligned Academy content with the Product roadmap through direct collaboration with Engineering Directors/Principals.

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of proven working experience in a technical enablement role.
• Experience working with Cognite Data Fusion® or similar industrial data platforms (DataOps, etc.) would be an advantage.
