The role

A Media Analyst is responsible for monitoring, collecting, and interpreting data related to the media coverage of a brand, company, or specific topic. The professional transforms performance metrics and key indicators into actionable insights, guiding partners in making strategic decisions. Core responsibilities include creating detailed reports, analysing media trends, and identifying communication opportunities. Additionally, the analyst works closely with internal and external teams to ensure accurate and relevant analyses that contribute to achieving defined objectives.

What are we looking for?

  • Degree in Communication, Marketing, Statistics, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Experience in data analysis or media (preferred but not mandatory).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Mandatory proficiency in data analysis and media monitoring tools, such as Excel and Power BI.
  •  Fluent in Portuguese and English. Knowledge of Spanish, preferred but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage priorities in a dynamic environment.

Duties and responsibilities:

The role is defined, but not limited to, the following:

  • Monitoring, collecting, and analysing media data related to specific brands, companies, or topics.
  • Interpreting media performance metrics (e.g., reach, favorability) to generate actionable insights.
  • Creating detailed reports and presentations to support decision-making processes.
  • Identifying emerging media trends and communication opportunities.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure accurate and relevant analysis.
  • Managing media databases and tools for tracking media coverage and performance.
  • Providing recommendations for strategic media planning and communication.

The standard working hours will be 40 per week, Monday to Friday 09.00 to 18:00 excluding one-hour unpaid lunch break per day.
