Job Overview 

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Vice President (SVP) of Marketing for Brandwatch to lead our Brandwatch marketing strategy. This position will prioritize lifting demand generation, increasing brand awareness, driving revenue growth, and boosting business performance for the Brandwatch Business Unit. As a key member of the Brandwatch leadership team, this role is responsible for building a cohesive, data-driven approach to demand generation, customer acquisition, and pipeline development. 

The SVP will work closely with sales, product, and executive leadership to develop strategies that align marketing initiatives with overall business objectives, ensuring exceptional growth and market leadership. This position focuses on transforming our marketing engine into a revenue-driving force across diverse channels and markets. 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategic Leadership  

  • Executive leadership: Lead cross-functional efforts with sales, marketing, product, and business development teams to drive strategy, accelerate customer acquisition and influence product roadmaps. Establish a collaborative culture where marketing growth efforts are integrated across departments. 
  • Executive collaboration: Serve as a strategic partner to the Brandwatch President, head of Sales, and other Brandwatch executives, providing insights on customer behavior, market opportunities, and growth levers. Present data-driven recommendations that influence company-wide initiatives. 
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity and innovation. 
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage the Brandwatch’s growth-focused marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize ROI. 
  • Social Media Optimization: Lead paid social media strategies and partner on owned social approaches that drive brand recognition and influence top of funnel demand.  

 

Demand Generation Ownership and Innovation 

  • Data-driven optimization: Use analytics and KPIs to track campaign performance, identify key growth opportunities, and continually refine marketing tactics for greater efficiency and ROI. Ensure data integrity and actionable insights across CRM and marketing automation systems 
  • Innovative multi-channel campaigns and content: Design, implement, and continuously optimize multi-channel marketing programs across digital platforms (paid media, SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, etc.), events, ABM, and webinars. Leverage technology and data insights to deliver targeted, high-impact programs that drive pipeline growth and market share. Lead and develop a robust in-house content team to create thought leadership and digital assets that fuels both campaigns and SEO efforts. 
  • Design and execute a holistic demand generation strategy: Spearhead the development of end-to-end demand generation frameworks across inbound, outbound, and account-based marketing (ABM) tactics. Ensure alignment with revenue goals and long-term business objectives. 

 

Brand Management and Strategic Direction 

  • Brand Strategy & Positioning: Define, evolve, and champion the Brandwatch brand narrative, ensuring consistent messaging and visual identity across all touchpoints. Develop and implement brand strategies that strengthen market perception, differentiate Brandwatch from competitors, and resonate with target audiences. Conduct regular brand audits to assess brand health and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Brand Building & Awareness: Develop and execute integrated marketing communications plans to increase brand awareness, enhance brand equity, and drive positive brand sentiment. Oversee public relations, media relations, and influencer marketing efforts to secure positive coverage and amplify brand messaging. 
  • Content Marketing & Thought Leadership: Collaborate with the content team to create high-quality, engaging content that positions Brandwatch as a thought leader in the social listening and analytics space. Oversee the development of white papers, case studies, blog posts, webinars, and other content assets that educate target audiences and drive brand engagement. Ensure content aligns with overall brand strategy and supports demand generation efforts. 
  • International Brand Management:  Oversee the adaptation and execution of brand strategies in different markets, ensuring cultural sensitivity and local relevance while maintaining overall brand consistency. 

 

ABM and High-Value Account Targeting 

  • Lead ABM innovation: Develop and scale ABM initiatives to target key accounts, both customers and prospects. Work closely with sales leadership to deliver tailored marketing campaigns that resonate with high-value audiences and drive deeper engagement and conversions. 
  • High-value account strategies: Develop a deep understanding of customer and prospect profiles, leveraging intent data and advanced analytics to personalize experiences and maximize the impact of ABM initiatives. 

 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • 15+ years of experience in demand generation, growth marketing, or a related field, with at least 7 years in a senior leadership role driving enterprise-level strategies. 
  • Proven success in leading comprehensive demand generation and growth initiatives in a B2B environment, ideally within mid-market and enterprise segments. Hands-on experience across all key marketing functions, including ABM, SEO/SEM, content marketing, customer marketing, and field marketing. 
  • Leadership excellence: Demonstrated experience in building and mentoring high-performing teams, leading through change, and creating a culture of innovation and accountability. 
  • Technology fluency: Expertise in leading demand generation technology stacks, including CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce), marketing automation tools (e.g., Marketo), and ABM platforms (e.g., 6Sense, Demandbase). Strong understanding of data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and data-driven marketing. 
  • Strategic vision: Deep understanding of buyer’s journey, sales funnel, and customer lifecycle management. Proven ability to align marketing strategies with sales and business goals to drive scalable revenue growth. 
  • Financial acumen: Experience managing multi-million dollar budgets and demonstrating ROI on demand generation investments. 
  • Exceptional communication skills: Ability to communicate complex strategies clearly and effectively to senior executives, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. 

For Individuals based in New York, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, and California, Cision is required to disclose a salary range for this role. This compensation range is specific to these states, however base pay may vary depending on a range of relevant factors.

Remote USA Pay Range

$240,000 - $300,000 USD
