The Strategic Insights Consultant is part of the Customer Experience team and reports directly to the Regional Head of Insights CX for Brandwatch. This person is responsible for collaborating with Account Management and Customer Success teams to deliver tailored insights, data analysis, and consultative support to a named portfolio of highly strategic clients with a focus on retained revenue (GRR), as well as support consulting engagements across the entire enterprise portfolio.
The Strategic Insights Consultant possesses deep expertise in measurement and analysis to help our clients extract meaningful insights from complex data. This role requires a strong analytical mindset and hands-on experience with measurement frameworks, data interpretation, and performance evaluation methodologies.
The ideal candidate has a proven track record of designing and implementing impact measurement strategies, attribution models, and data-driven decision-making frameworks across various industries. You should be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data, translating findings into actionable recommendations, and guiding stakeholders on best practices for tracking success. A deep understanding of key performance indicators (KPIs), benchmarking techniques, and data visualization tools is essential, along with the ability to communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
The Strategic Consultant is also a collaborative mentor who can coach junior consultants, fostering their growth through hands-on guidance. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in measurement and analysis but also a skilled communicator who can break down complex concepts into digestible learning experiences.
You will be responsible for developing and delivering structured learning paths and facilitating knowledge-sharing initiatives that enhance the analytical capabilities of the team. By providing thoughtful feedback, practical case studies, and real-world applications, you will help elevate the skills of junior team members, ensuring they are equipped to deliver high-impact insights and strategic recommendations to clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborative Client Support:
- Partner with Account Management and Customer Success teams to support a designated portfolio of key clients, offering insights and recommendations that align with client goals, ensuring the teams are hitting GRR targets.
- Contribute to client presentations and service reviews, collaborating with internal teams to present findings and drive discussions on how insights can be applied to meet client business objectives.
- Strategic Insights & Analysis:
- Act as an internal subject matter expert, providing recommendations to Account Management and Customer Success teams to inform client strategies.
- Stay current on industry trends, research methodologies, and competitive insights to continuously enhance the quality and relevance of client offerings.
- Project & Delivery Management:
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless project delivery, from inception to completion, ensuring deliverables are aligned with client needs and expectations.
- Oversee the development and quality control of client reports and insights, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client goals.
- Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including commercial, product, and delivery teams, to ensure a consistent and high-quality client experience.
- Share insights and collaborate with junior team members as needed, though no formal management responsibilities are included in this role.
- Thought Leadership:
- Proactively guide clients and internal teams on how emerging industry trends and market shifts can be addressed within their intelligence programs, ensuring clients are ahead of the curve and equipped to adapt to evolving market conditions.
- Where and when possible, represent our business and team at relevant industry events, conferences, webinars, and client in-persons to continually establish our position as experts in the field.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
Key capabilities; skills, qualifications and experience:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university
- At least 7 years of experience in PR, Comms, Marketing, Market Research, or Media Intelligence with at least 5 years of commercial experience
- C-Suite level presentation skills
- A strategic, curious thinker with the ability to ask thoughtful business questions and translate business requirements, technical and methodological details
- Proven analytical skills with systematic problem-solving abilities
- Advanced and demonstrated ability to build relationships, persuade and influence stakeholders, clients, and vendors
- Advanced ability to develop and present innovative ideas and best practices and conceptualize innovative approaches and solutions
- Experience consulting on methodologies, solution design, best practices
- Strong written, verbal, presentation and demonstration skills

For Individuals based in New York, Illinois, Colorado, Washington, and California, Cision is required to disclose a salary range for this role. This compensation range is specific to these states, however base pay may vary depending on a range of relevant factors.

$100,000 - $118,000 USD
