Contract Delivery Manager (Agile)

Location: Remote (EU-based, GMT timezone)

Employment Type: Contract (B2B)

Contract Length: 6 months (with potential for extension)

About YLD:

Our goal is to help our clients keep moving forward. We work with them to build the skills and capabilities they need to stay ahead of the competition, and we know our success only happens when they succeed. We’re a team of curious, talented people, and we’re committed to making YLD a place where great people want to work, grow, and stay.

We’re a remote-first consultancy specialising in software engineering, product design, and data. Our teams are based across London, Lisbon, and Porto, and we create digital solutions that continue to deliver value long after our work is done.

About the role:

As a Contract Agile Delivery Manager, you’ll play a key role in leading the successful delivery of client engagements. This role has a strong project and delivery management focus, complemented by agile leadership and coaching.

You’ll operate at the intersection of client delivery, engineering teams, and third-party partners, ensuring outcomes are delivered predictably, transparently, and to a high standard. This is a hands-on consultancy role requiring confidence working with senior stakeholders and distributed teams.

You should apply if you are:

A delivery-focused professional with a strong consultancy background who combines structured project management discipline with a pragmatic, modern agile mindset.

You’re comfortable owning delivery end-to-end: setting direction, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, coordinating vendors, and ensuring teams are supported to deliver high-quality software in an agile environment.

You thrive in collaborative settings, enjoy solving complex delivery problems, and are motivated by helping both clients and teams succeed.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like this:
  • Own end-to-end delivery across one or more client engagements

  • Plan and manage scope, timelines, budgets, dependencies, risks, and mitigations

  • Act as the primary delivery contact for clients, stakeholders, vendors, and third parties

  • Support quarterly planning, roadmap alignment, forecasting, and delivery reporting using OKRs and metrics

  • Identify and manage delivery risks, issues, and expectations in a consultancy context

  • Support business change and end-user adoption of new platforms and ways of working

  • Enable teams through pragmatic use of Scrum and Kanban practices

  • Champion agile principles, remove impediments, and support effective delivery in a remote-first environment

You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Strong delivery and programme management experience in digital or technology consultancies

  • Proven delivery of software products in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Experience managing third-party vendors and external partners

  • Confident engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior clients

  • Experience with quarterly planning, roadmaps, OKRs, and delivery metrics

  • Strong understanding of business change and technology adoption

  • Ability to lead distributed teams and deliver outcomes in remote environments

  • Experience supporting end users through change and new platforms

  • Collaborative, low-ego mindset suited to a high-empathy, low-politics culture

  • Passion for continuous improvement, learning, and problem-solving

Our typical Recruitment Process looks like this:

  • 1st Interview with someone from the Talent team (30/45 mins)
  • Interview with the Head of Client Services and a Senior Client Partner (45/60 mins)

We live and breathe our values, and know you will too:

  • Growing every day
  • Including everyone
  • Relationships built on honesty and ethics
  • Inspiring solutions
  • Winning together

We’re an equal-opportunity employer and value diversity in all its forms. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, pregnancy or maternity, age, marital status, or disability. We also offer a remote-first working environment, with flexible working and work–life balance as standard for all employees.
