Senior Marketing Manager
Location: UK, with occasional commute to the office/events
Department: Marketing
Employment Type: Permanent
About YLD:
Our goal is to help our clients keep moving forward. We work with them to build the skills and capabilities they need to stay ahead of the competition, and we know our success only happens when they succeed. We’re a team of curious, talented people, and we’re committed to making YLD a place where great people want to work, grow, and stay.
We’re a remote-first consultancy specialising in software engineering, product design, and data. Our teams are based across London, Lisbon, and Porto, and we create digital solutions that continue to deliver value long after our work is done.
About the role:
This is not a “maintenance” role. You’ll be expected to bring structure, clarity, and strategy — while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver campaigns, content, and events. You’ll provide leadership and direction to our existing team, and act as the bridge between Marketing, Sales, and Client Services.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will look like this:
- Own the marketing strategy and execution across brand, demand generation, events, product marketing, and content.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the existing marketing team.
- Partner with the Sales team, with direct responsibility for enabling the team to deliver against their revenue targets
- Ensure operational excellence, managing budgets, measuring impact, and maintaining accurate data and processes in HubSpot. Note that there is no in-house demand generation expertise, so you will need to have hands-on HubSpot knowledge.
- Build integrated inbound and outbound marketing campaigns across priority verticals (e.g. fintech, retail, media).
- Partner closely with Sales/Commercial to create effective collateral (case studies, decks, campaigns, events).
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of high-quality case studies and thought leadership content.
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure ROI on marketing activity.
- Manage YLD’s digital presence (website, social, email marketing) and optimise for performance.
- Plan and execute events and community initiatives that raise YLD’s brand profile.
- Oversee employer brand and recruitment marketing to support People team needs.
- 5+ years’ B2B marketing experience, ideally within consulting, SaaS, or digital services.
- Track record of building or professionalising a marketing function in a scale-up or consultancy environment.
- Expert in marketing automation tools and CRMs (HubSpot strongly preferred).
- Comfortable balancing strategy and execution - able to both design the plan and deliver it.
- Strong leadership skills, able to guide a small team and grow their capabilities.
- Experienced in creating inbound and outbound campaigns that deliver measurable pipeline.
- Skilled in content creation and storytelling, able to distill technical capabilities into compelling narratives.
- Commercially minded
- AI enthusiast
You should apply if you are:
- Self-motivated, proactive and always looking for ways to improve and develop yourself
- A good communicator, both in writing and verbally. You’ll be able to explain technical ideas and concepts in business-friendly language
- Detail oriented
- Problem-solving skills that balance innovation with pragmatic technology choices to solve business needs
- Used to working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Analytical and problem-solving oriented
- A genuine believer in diversity and fairness
