Your role at Vertice

You’ll be focused on supporting our internal Customer Success and Procurement teams by delivering insights into our customer’s spend to help drive savings. You’ll be presenting to experienced stakeholders and dealing with a range of companies from high-growth startups to established brands. You’ll be based from our office in Johannesburg, reporting to the Head of Insights (based in London). You’ll also have other data focused responsibilities using our internal tooling to build dynamic dashboards and automations. You’ll have the opportunity to improve your technical skills by using Python and SQL, as well as using LLMs in your day-to-day work.

Things you’ll have done before

  • You’ll have 1-3 years of experience in a challenging role in investment banking, consulting, professional services or business analytics
  • You’ll have strong experience manipulating data with Excel and presenting insights in Powerpoint - we use these tools to analyze software contract pricing and deliver customer analysis and recommendations to key internal and external audiences
  • You’ll be comfortable with moderately complex concepts, and be able to talk confidently when presenting insights to others
  • You’ll have demonstrable success in delivering results working cross-functionally with a flexible, agile, and adaptable approach; used to wearing multiple hats and you won’t get easily overwhelmed

Things we like to see

  • Education in quantitative fields, or business or economics preferred 
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment
  • Experience recommending process improvements to help teams work more efficiently
  • Experience with Python or SQL with the ability and experience in designing dashboards is a plus
  • Strong work ethic with a “get stuff done” mentality
