Your Role at Vertice:

As an AI/ML Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models that drive business value from our data. You will work closely with product managers and other engineers to identify opportunities for applying AI/ML techniques to solve complex problems. 

Your expertise in large-scale text processing, NLP, and LLMs will be crucial in building solutions that unlock new insights and drive business growth. As we expand into working with other types of data, you'll have the opportunity to adapt your skills and explore new areas of AI/ML research and application.

What we’re looking for:

• You love to be surrounded by people who are as passionate as you about a quality
• Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code in Python
• Strong proficiency in Python, including popular libraries and frameworks such as NumPy, Pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, HuggingFace, etc. would be very beneficial
• Understanding of neural networks, deep learning, fine-tuning, and their applications
• Experience with implementing end-to-end machine learning solutions, with a focus on data quality and cleanliness (personal or school projects are also welcomed)
• Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their applications in natural language processing
• Experience working with document-based data (e.g., PDFs) and ability to design and implement solutions for text-based problems
• Experience with cloud-based services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (for deploying models, data processing, etc.) is a plus
• You prefer having a boss who works with you instead of some talking head
• You love to have discussions with your colleagues (not only) in English and are fluent in Czech/Slovak
• You are available to meet in our Brno office at least 2 days a week
