Data Product Manager, Corporate Metrics

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Corporate Metrics, the Data Product Manager is responsible for leading the development and enhancement of data products related to Corporate Metrics at Veeam. This role focuses on defining and operationalizing the vision, strategy, and roadmap of our data initiatives to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical knowledge, strong communication skills, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of both business needs, operational processes, and data capabilities.
This role is integral to the transformation of Veeam’s Corporate Metrics, encompassing internal and external reporting and analytics. Responsibilities include defining key metrics, building roadmaps, understanding processes, and driving execution across multiple teams to deliver accurate and scalable solutions. The Data Product Manager will oversee Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) for Veeam and support reporting on other Corporate Metrics such as Sales, Finance, and Headcount.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a strategy and roadmap for Veeam Corporate Metrics in collaboration with Senior Leadership (C-Suite) and cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Sales, etc.).
- Define the key performance indicators (KPIs) for external reporting, creating a sustainable and scalable data asset to support them. Develop solutions to enhance visibility into actions that can impact and forecast these metrics.
- Operationalize the execution of the roadmap, including: Work with business stakeholders to understand and document business processes, requirements, and data sources. This will include both hands on process documentation as well has holding stakeholders accountable to required actions.
- Collaborating with Data Science, Analytics, and Reporting teams to share business context and metric updates while understanding data requirements for analytical solutions.
- Translate business requirements into development instructions for Data Engineering Team.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers on design and solution brainstorming.
- Work hand in hand with engineering team to come up with creative solutions to complex data problems.
- Recommend and approve schema changes within our data warehouse, to meet front-end user needs Own the operationalization and reporting of the Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) metric.
- Represent corporate metrics in the CRM re-platform project, influencing design decisions and translating changes to downstream stakeholders. Partner with Quality/Governance teams to establish strong systems for data quality across products.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in developing data products and metrics, preferably in a SaaS environment.
- Education in Business Administration, Finance, Management, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not required.
- Proven experience in a product owner or metrics lead role.
- Deep understanding of Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and associated metrics.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in AI-driven solutions.
- Proficiency in CRM and QTC systems, particularly Salesforce.
- Technical skills in SQL for examining, handling, and reporting on large datasets.
- Experience with business intelligence and analytics platforms.
- Conversational knowledge of data architecture, engineering, analytics, and data science.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement reporting strategies and processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Track record of identifying and defining corporate metrics (ARR, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), EBITDA).
- Experience with external reporting needs for a public company.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$113,000 - $161,400 USD
