Project Manager

Mexico - Remote

Why Valtech? We’re the experience innovation company - a trusted partner to the world’s most recognized brands. To our people we offer growth opportunities, a values-driven culture, international careers and the chance to shape the future of experience.

The opportunity

At Valtech, you’ll find an environment designed for continuous learning, meaningful impact, and professional growth. Whether you're pioneering new digital solutions, challenging conventional thinking or building the next generation of customer experiences, your work will help transform industries.

We are proud of:

The role

As a Project Manager, you are passionate about experience innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You are the engine that keeps complex, fixed-fee engagements running smoothly and you own the day-to-day mechanics of project delivery: tracking budgets, managing risks, driving status communications, and ensuring the team delivers against committed scope and timelines.

You bring +8 YEARS of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact, being the connective tissue between our clients, our delivery teams, and Valtech's account leadership, ensuring every stakeholder has the clarity and confidence they need to move forward.

You independently lead significant workstreams and are trusted to represent delivery status, trade-offs, and risks to both internal leadership and client stakeholders. You have a demonstrated and repeatable track record of owning full project delivery and adapting your approach to ambiguity and changing client needs.

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • A curious problem solver who challenges the status quo
  • A collaborator who values teamwork and knowledge-sharing
  • Excited by the intersection of technology, creativity and data
  • Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus)

Role responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end delivery of fixed-fee projects, ensuring the team consistently delivers against agreed scope, timeline, quality expectations, and budget.
  • Track and manage project budgets with precision by monitoring spend, updating forecasts, identifying variances early, and recommending corrective action to account and practice leadership.
  • Proactively identify, log, and manage project risks and issues, escalating appropriately and leading mitigative action before problems materially impact the client or Valtech.
  • Run highly effective status meetings by producing clear agendas, facilitating focused discussion, capturing decisions and actions, and ensuring stakeholders leave with confidence in project health.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation including RAID logs, status reports, budget trackers, and project plans, ensuring all materials are accurate and up-to-date at all times.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for delivery communications between the client, third parties, and Valtech's internal delivery team by keeping all parties aligned across complex dependencies.
  • Manage the SOW closely, understanding contractual commitments, flagging scope creep risks, and working with account leadership to address changes formally and commercially.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client stakeholders at relevant levels, acting as a reliable, professional, and proactive partner throughout the engagement.
  • Facilitate alignment across cross-functional team members including engineers, designers, QA, and strategists, removing blockers and creating the conditions for the team to do their best work.
  • Provide a first point of escalation for major project issues, leading difficult conversations with clients and internal stakeholders whenever required.
  • Support account growth by surfacing project extension or expansion opportunities to account leadership, contributing delivery credibility and insight to commercial conversations.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Valtech's delivery practices, sharing learnings and improvements from your engagements with the broader practice.
  • Support more junior team members through on-the-job coaching and mentoring on project delivery best practices.

  • Strong conversational English skills required.
  • Proven experience managing fixed-fee projects, including budget tracking, scope management, and SOW governance, with high client satisfaction.
  • Track record of running effective status meetings, producing clear reporting, and maintaining accurate RAID logs and project documentation throughout delivery.
  • Strong experience tracking and forecasting project budgets, identifying financial risks early, and communicating implications clearly to leadership.
  • Experience identifying, managing, and escalating delivery risks and issues, with a proactive approach to mitigation.
  • Experience partnering with cross-functional delivery teams (engineering, design, QA, strategy) and managing delivery toward shared milestones.
  • Superlative client-facing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients at all levels and handle difficult conversations with professionalism.
  • Solid understanding of Agile and/or hybrid delivery methodologies and how to apply them in a fixed-fee context.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to connect delivery decisions to financial and business outcomes for both the client and Valtech.
  • Great organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools to accelerate delivery, reduce administrative overhead, and improve team output.
  • Being a natural organizer and planner, with an obsessive attention to detail and a proactive approach to staying ahead of problems.
  • Commercial awareness with a strong focus on outcomes, understanding how delivery decisions impact business results for both clients and the organization.
  • Being confident, calm communicator who can run a room, hold a difficult conversation, and keep diverse stakeholders aligned and informed.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with a can-do attitude and solid problem-solving skills. You thrive when things get complex.
  • Ability to build strong relationships as a collaborative team player, working effectively with both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong focus on delivery quality and continuous improvement, consistently looking for ways to elevate how projects are delivered.
