Why Valtech?
We are proud of:
The Role
As a Product Owner / Project Manager, you will act as the primary owner of product requirements and backlog management while providing essential project management leadership throughout the delivery lifecycle. We're looking for a Product Owner / Project Manager who thrives at the intersection of product ownership, agile delivery, and stakeholder management. This is a hybrid role designed for someone who can translate business needs into actionable requirements while also ensuring successful project execution across multiple stakeholders and workstreams.
What You'll Do
Product Ownership
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business objectives and delivery goals.
- Gather, analyze, and synthesize requirements from client stakeholders and project partners.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional requirements.
- Facilitate backlog refinement and readiness activities to prepare work for upcoming development cycles.
- Partner with technical and business stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguities.
- Ensure requirements are sufficiently detailed and validated to support efficient implementation.
Project Management
- Support end-to-end project delivery by tracking scope, timelines, budgets, and dependencies.
- Coordinate activities across client teams, external agencies, and internal delivery teams.
- Facilitate project planning, status reporting, stakeholder communications, and governance activities.
- Identify risks, blockers, and dependencies, driving timely mitigation and escalation when needed.
- Monitor project progress and help ensure commitments are delivered on time and within agreed parameters.
- Foster transparency and alignment across all stakeholders throughout the engagement.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a key liaison between business, creative, and technical teams.
- Facilitate workshops, requirement sessions, backlog reviews, and stakeholder meetings.
- Drive alignment around priorities, scope decisions, and delivery expectations.
- Contribute to a collaborative, outcome-oriented team culture focused on continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Project Manager, or in a blended Product/Delivery role.
- Strong experience managing product backlogs, requirements gathering, and agile delivery processes.
- Proven ability to translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams in digital product or technology environments.
- Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycles, and delivery practices.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution and operational detail.
- Excellent organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
AI-Forward Mindset
Nice to Have
- Experience working with digital experience platforms, customer-facing products, or marketing technology ecosystems.
- Familiarity with analytics, content strategy, or experience design disciplines.
- Experience collaborating with external agencies and distributed teams.
- Certifications such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), PMP, or equivalent.
