The Role  

As a Java AI Developer, you are passionate about experiencing innovation and eager to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You bring 3+ years of experience, a growth mindset and a drive to make a lasting impact.

• Experienced in Agile methodologies and consulting (a plus) 

Role & Responsibilities

• Design and build AI-enabled backend services in Java that integrate seamlessly with existing enterprise platforms
• Own the Java-side integration of AI capabilities, including LLM-based services, intelligent decision engines, and automation workflows
• Build Spring Boot–based microservices that consume AI services (Python-based or managed AI platforms) and expose reliable business APIs
• Design and implement AI-aware workflows where Java services orchestrate, validate, and control AI outputs
• Practical exposure to model evaluation, response accuracy tuning, and hallucination reduction techniques
• Strong understanding of data handling using PostgreSQL and object storage platforms such as Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, or MinIO for structured and unstructured data
• Ability to analyze data, build KPIs, and derive actionable insights using SQL and Python
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, security best practices, and enterprise-grade system design
• Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to translate complex technical solutions into measurable business value

Must have

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following essential qualifications: 

• Experience integrating AI/LLM capabilities into Java-based systems, beyond basic API consumption
• Exposure to AI workflows such as RAG, agent-based systems, LLM-driven integrations, and scalable AI pipelines, with Java acting as the orchestration layer
• Understanding of how to control, validate, and govern AI outputs within deterministic enterprise Java applications
• Experience working with Python-based AI services and managing Java–Python interoperability
• Familiarity with vector databases or search platforms such as OpenSearch, Elasticsearch, or Chroma
• Knowledge of handling AI-related data flows, including structured and unstructured data, for ingestion and persistence
• Exposure to private or enterprise-controlled AI environments, including security and data privacy considerations
• Experience adding observability (logging, metrics, tracing) for AI-enabled Java services
• Background in Retail, Digital, or large-scale enterprise platforms where stability and scale matter
• Ability to explain AI behavior, risks, and limitations clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
