We are looking for a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDeT) within The Economist Group.
The successful candidate will support the team in:
- test automation
- testing standards
- quality standards
Accountabilities:
How you will contribute
- You will be responsible for supporting all test automation activities
- You will collaborate with your stakeholders to ensure test automation is executed as per the strategy
- You will support monitoring test coverage of all test automation activities
- You will collaborate with stakeholders to help define functional and non-functional test requirements
- You will help define ways to improve testing to continue to enable a shift left approach
Experience, Skills & Professional Attributes
The ideal skills for this role include
- You have a solid understanding of the test pyramid
- You have experience in test automation for different types of tests
- You have programming experience for use in test automation frameworks
- You have basic experience with integrating tests into CI/CD
- You have basic experience of the pros and cons of what tests to run and where in CI/CD
- You have basic experience in using tools to report test results
- You are a great communicator
Working Arrangements
The majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required.
