Through innovative programmes and high-quality execution, Economist Impact has a long-standing reputation for bringing together senior-level stakeholders from government and business to discuss and debate globally important issues with the purpose of promoting progress.

We are recruiting for a marketing executive to work within our EuroFinance portfolio of events. Key responsibilities include the website, event websites, social media and lead generation. The successful candidate will undertake activity across a variety of marketing channels to assist the team in achieving target delegate revenue and delegate guest places for a number of events. 


In the role you would be expected to:

  • Work in wordpress to lead the user experience and to maintain the website in line with brand guidelines
  • Create and deliver weekly newsletters that will increase engagement
  • Establish relationships with internal stakeholders and external marketing partners to maintain and expand the EuroFinance product portfolio. 
  • Assist Marketing Managers to manage relationships with PR agencies, broadcast and media partners as required
  • Run data reports on CRM systems. Conduct research and undertake data mining to fill gaps following brief from Marketing Manager, qualifying the leads where possible
  • Run PPC campaigns to generate leads
  • Produce post event marketing summary documents including, but not limited to; web and email analytics, delegate survey responses, print and digital advertising,in a timely manner and in collaboration with Marketing Manager
  • Provide assistance with direct marketing tasks as and when required, track inbound queries/brochure downloads
  • Create and implement an event lead generation plan to assist with converting inbound contacts to paid ticket sales and high-level guest attendance
  • Help undertake competitive analysis across industries
  • Assist with engagement and retention activities for the events
  • Coordinate and execute social media strategy to increase followers, engage event attendees and maximise brand visibility 
  • Keep up to date with events management best practice and advises how it can be applied to the business

Who you are:

  • Relevant marketing experience (e.g. direct and/or events marketing, with preference given to those with conference marketing experience and industry events)
  • A strong understanding of customer acquisition, online marketing and new media channels
  • Experience using marketing and analytics systems such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Cvent (or equivalents) and back-end website editing tools like Wordpress
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize accordingly and work to tight deadlines
  • Excellent written English and proof-reading skills
  • Commitment to standards of excellence with attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated, intuitive, energetic and persistent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A team player
  • An interest in current affairs
